Happy New Year!

A quick note of thanks to everyone who visited Much Struck in 2018, and best wishes to all of you in 2019! At this time of year, most of the bodies of water I visit are frozen. Although they offer interesting ice scapes, the number of bird species has declined considerably. So, in the months of January and February, I am shifting my focus. I will explore the tundra-like open spaces around us where arctic birds spend their winters. In the weeks that follow, I hope to share images of these remarkable species.
